Griffin is the best! The fishing and the food are amazing. We stayed in a room that had been remodeled and they did a great job. It was comfortable and homey. The food is better than most restaurants, but the family-style atmosphere really makes meals special. Most importantly, they really mean it when they say they don't go fishin', they go catchin'. I went out three times and was put on fish at every stop! We also went to the city for a day. If you are visiting New Orleans, Griffin Fishing Charters and Lodge would make a great day (or longer) trip.
Great fix of red fishing, went out at about 7 with the girlfriend and Colby. We had our Limit and had to throw about 10 or so back by 9. The girlfriend was ready to come in by 9:50 due to the cold but Colby was more then willing to stay out if we wanted to! Colby was great he was willing to do it all from baiting the hook to casting it out. My girlfriend does not fish much but she was still catching some nice redfish! The rooms,food, and the hospitality of the people here are great! Will be coming back! I highly recommend it!! Thank you Colby!!!

We planned a trip on short notice to fish down south of New Orleans while on a Christmas vacation. Luckily I contacted Colby with Griffins Charters out of Barataria , La. We knew we had a cold front coming in on Saturday so we got out early that morning and within probably an hour and a half we had limited out on RED's and then the storm hit. Thanks, Colby.

Colby kept me informed with phone calls or texts. We wanted another day and it was not available but he looked for another boat to take us out. We ended up going out on Sunday morning instead of Saturday. Lodging was clean and had good working AC. Food was great with plenty of places to sit and have a drink by the water. Boat was clean and well maintained. Good quality equipment... felt safe the entire time on the water. Limited on reds and black drum and was back in Jackson MS by 3pm.
Colby and the entire staff made sure we had a great time. We did a family fishing trip with 10 people from age 2 to 60 and everyone had a fun day. Limited out on big reds and more. Would definitely go again.
